We recognize that the strength of our health care programs depends upon strong collaboration and communication with our providers, practitioners and their staff. In this section you will find several education and training tools to assist you.
Provider Education
We conduct provider education programs during the year in topics identified by our Medical Management Department and based on recommendations from our network providers. Provider Training – we conduct provider training on an ongoing basis including Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP), Immunizations, California Children’s Services (CCS), Cultural Diversity, Interpreter Services, etc.
Tobacco Cessation Online Training
Though smoking cessation is most successful when counseling and cessation medications are combined, it may be hard to find the right resources that your patient may need. You can refer your patients to counseling and take free online training courses through the evidence based tobacco cessation initiative 1-800-NO-BUTTS.
Health Education
Health Education is available to your patients at no cost. Our health education services are designed to assist and support our providers in promoting patient self-management and healthy behaviors. Our goal is to assist patients to be engaged and informed so they can be active participants in their care and in the care of their children.
