California Wildfires

We’re sorry to learn that some of our valued Health Plan of San Joaquin members may be affected by the fires in many California counties. If you live in one of these we hope that you, your family and friends are well and in a safe place.

As an HPSJ member you have a right to health care benefits and services. These include office visits, prescriptions, mental health, and urgent care services.

If you have been touched by the fires or been asked to leave, HPSJ will help you in these ways:

  • Primary Care Provider – PCP
    • If you are not able to see yours, HPSJ will help you find some other PCP.
  • Mental Health
    • Our partner, Beacon Health Strategies, will find help you if you cannot reach your usual source of care.
  • Your Prescriptions/Meds
    • You can get these outside of HPSJ’s normal drug store network, if needed. If you have to pay for these, we will pay you back.
    • If they have been lost, misplaced or damaged due to the fires, you can replace them even if it is not time for a refill.
  • Urgent Care
    • If the fires cause you to need urgent care, you can go out of HPSJ’s network. If you have to pay, we will pay you back.
  • ID Card
    • If your Member ID Card has been lost, misplaced or damaged, we can send you a new one, or you can create a MYHPSJ account online (hpsj.com) and ask for a new card.

We do not want access to health care to be an added worry for our members impacted by fires and evacuations. If you have questions about your benefits, please call us toll-free at 1-888-936-7526 (711 for hearing-impaired members).

Our Customer Service team is ready to help you get the care you need.
