Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) Measure for 2022
The following is an update to the Child and Adolescent Well Care Visits (WCV).
Description
Members 3-21 years of age who had at least one comprehensive well-care visit with a primary care provider (PCP) or an OB/GYN practitioner annually. The Practitioner does not have to be the practitioner assigned to the member.
Medical Record must include:
- Physical, Health and Mental History
- Health Education/Anticipatory guidance
WCV are stratified for ages 3-21 years as of December 31st, of the measurement year:
- 3-11 years
- 12-17 years
- 18-21 years
- Total – number by supplemental for each stratification.
This measure is based on the American Academy of Pediatrics Bright Futures: Guidelines for Health Supervision of Infants, Children and Adolescents (published by the National Center for Education in Maternal and Child Health).
