Health Careers Scholarship Program Guidelines for Recommendation Letter

Please provide a letter of recommendation of the applicant. The letter is limited to two (2) pages, typed on Letterhead, including contact information from your recommender. The recommendation letter should address the following areas about the applicant’s career aspirations and challenges:

• How has the applicant shown a commitment to pursuing a career in medicine or healthcare?
• What health-related contributions has the applicant made in the community?
• What personal, educational, or financial obstacles have the applicant overcome in the face of adversity?
• What are the strengths of the applicant?
• Are there any areas of concern that the review committee should consider about the applicant? Please explain.

Please submit your recommendation letter no later than close of business on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, to scholarships@hpsj.com.
